The Catamaran designed for Dufour Catamarans is the progenitor of what will be a new trend for the French shipyard.
There are many distinctive features of this new project that maintain a clear link with the rest of the Dufour production, until now centered exclusively on monohulls.
The theme of communication between the various areas of the boat was, once again, at the center of the design and led to many certainly innovative solutions.
The large outdoor cockpit covered by the fly, positioned on the same level as the living room and kitchen are decisive elements.
The fly also takes on a new dimension; not only the place of command of the boat and space dedicated to sunbathing, but also that, unpublished for this size, of a raised lounge to enjoy special moments of relaxation in total privacy.
The interiors are designed with some possible variations in order to satisfy both a “owner” and “charter” clients.
The number of cabins is different in the two versions, as well as the degree of finishing and accessories.
In both of them, anyway, the unique style of Dufour remains in the care of details.
In the owner version the starboard hull, entirely dedicated to the owner, has a layout and a finish worthy of a 5-star suite.
The charter version instead presents many practical solutions, including for example a large technical area and stowage, to allow a professional management of the boat.
In both versions the forward cabin, independent and dedicated to the crew, makes any type of situation easier.
The sail plan, simple and effective, fully embraces current trends, with the must far back and large furling and self-tacking jib.
The hulls, characterized by underwater narrow and deep hulls and reverse bow, have been finalized through advanced CFD software in order to optimize the resistance and therefore all the sailing performances.
At the stylistic level, both inside and outside, we tried to confer the usual clean lines and shapes, without interfering with the complexity of functions that this Catamaran will have to satisfy.
